Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 is a version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite for macOS. It is the successor to Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac and is comparable to Office 2010 for Windows. Office 2011 was followed by Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac released on September 22, 2015, requiring a Mac with an x64 Intel processor and OS X. When I open up MS Word or MS Excel, I get a warning that they are 32 bit and soon won't be compatible with Mojave. When I go to 'About this Mac' and scroll through the applications, this is what comes up for MS Word: 'Microsoft Word:Version: 14.7.7 Obtained from: Identified Developer Last Modified: 10/4/2018, 6:00 PM Kind: Intel 64-Bit (Intel): No Signed by: Developer ID Application: Microsoft. The 64-bit Office apps' predecessors, the Word and friends bundled as Office for Mac 2011, will likely be among the most prominent 32-bit standouts in the System Report list.

To verify that Office for Mac 2011 14.1.0 is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
On the Go menu, click Applications.
Open the Microsoft Office 2011 folder, and then start any Office application. (For example, start Microsoft Word).
On the application menu, click About <application>.
In the About <application> dialog box, note the version number that is displayed. The number should be 14.1.0 or a later version.
Restart requirementThis update does not require you to restart your computer.
